Beautiful photography, beautifully presented — that's what all your clients deserve. Our new Portrait Albums are an affordable delight.
About Portrait Albums
The trend today is to smaller albums. That's especially true of specialties like portraiture and boudoir, where larger sizes offering more space for images and story-telling are less important than they are in weddings for example. Often there are cost pressures too.
Our new Portrait Albums are perfect for smaller coverages. We offer them in two sizes, 8x8 and 12x8, with three cover options — a customisable Canvas, richly printed, and Pearl or Carbon (black) Buckram. All can be personalised with your clients' names, your studio logo or both. They're presented in our soft suede bags.
The pages are medium-weight panorama flushmount, and you can choose between traditional photographic Silver Halide printing, or, for a beautiful watercolour effect, offset-printed Tintoretto. A small charge applies if you want us to design and colour correct the pages.
These little gems do not stint on Queensberry quality, but for maximum affordability, and a better return to you, they come with a few less frills than our higher-priced products.
Title-pages and cover-motifs are not available in our Portrait Albums.
Album Extras: Studio and Personal Embossing
If you choose one of our plain buckram covers (pearl or carbon) you have the option of embossing your clients’ names, your studio logo, or both. For studio logos, you will need to provide your logo, and we will contact you before ordering the embossing block to confirm the sizing and placement.
Studio logo only: Your logo will be displayed in the bottom right-hand corner.
Personalised embossing only: Will display text in the bottom right-hand corner. Futura (names only).
If you prefer the printed canvas option you will need to upload the cover image, specify whether you want your studio logo to appear (this will display on spine), choose one of our two fonts, and specify the cover/spine text if any.
We will send a design draft back for confirmation, including text placement and background colour choice (which we will eye-drop from the cover image). Read below for more information on picking your cover image.
Important information when picking your cover image:
Our designers will do their best to work with the image and text you provide, but here are some tips to ensure good results.
Make sure the image does not have important subject matter close to the edge, where it can look awkward, or even disappear when the printed canvas is folded round the album cover in construction. If necessary you can clone areas of the image to extend the printed area.
Our designers may move text so it's not obscured by the image behind it. In the example below the text has been moved to the top right.
