Flushmount

Flushmount albums are our fastest growing album category. With classic and panorama flushmount options availble, these un-matted albums are bold and contemporary, with maximum choice and designability.

Classic and Panorama Flushmounts

We have two options for our Flushmount Albums. We offer Panorama and Classic.

Many photographers love the fact that the Panorama's prints are creased, not cut, at the spine, that we offer both Fine Art (inkjet) and traditional photographic printing (silver-halide), and that our optional medium-weight pages mean you'll have a sleeker looking album, and can include more layouts.

Our Panorama Flushmount Albums are significantly cheaper (even for Fine Art printing), but we still offer a Classic Flushmount option. The classic Flushmount is an unmatted album, with the print laying Flush to the spine (print splits at spine). Classic Flushmounts have more options for printing and can be printed in both Silver Halide, and 6 colour offset printing (no Fine Art available). Read more about our paper stocks here

Flushmounts are available in either white or black core pages.

Page Weights

Our Flushmount Albums normally feature the heavy pages we associate with albums, but our Panorama Flushmount albums also offer a medium-weight option that will allow you to add more pages to your album.

Flushmount page limits

All album makers limit the number of pages or layouts you can include in their products. The reasons range from aesthetics to structural integrity.

Classic and Panorama Flushmount albums with heavy pages have a limit of 30 pages (60 sides, 31 layouts). Where available, Wing and Flip pages count as extra pages (2 sides each).

If it becomes necessary to create two volumes because you have exceeded the limit, we offer 15% Companion Discount on the cheaper of the two volumes.

Photojunction and Workspace do not and cannot stop you from adding more pages than the limit because these vary with the type of page. Some users also like to “over-design” initially and cut back later. However we’d hate to see you waste time designing more pages than you can use, so you may see warnings if the software thinks you may be exceeding the limit. If you're using Photojunction to design albums for another manufacturer we suggest you check out your album supplier’s restrictions and design accordingly.

Cover Options

Choose from our range of cover materials, order the album plain or personalise it even more by selecting one of our cover options – Photo Front, Wrap-Around, Cover Motif or Embossed cover styles. Add names to Photo Fronts or Cover Motifs by choosing one of our template styles. Photo Front covers are available in either half or full photo covers. Cover Motifs come in Square, Vertical or Horizontal formats, and Embossed covers have the option of two fonts - Futura or Bank Gothic.

Size Guide

Flushmount albums are available in a range of sizes from 8x8 up to 18x12 (5x3.5 and 7x5 are copy album sizes only). Sizes are expressed in inches and are approximate.

Design Notes

When you do bleed images to the page edge, make sure critical image areas (such as borders, text, heads) are at least 12mm from the edge, especially if a flushmount copy is to be made. Otherwise they may look unsightly or even get trimmed away. Text, heads etc should also be kept clear of the page spine.

Photojunction displays photo safe guides on page layouts to remind you of this, and will also warn you if your design doesn't comply, as the problem needs to be fixed before we can make your album.
